A man has been taken into custody by the police in connection with the tragic stabbing death of a woman. Agne Druskienea was fatally stabbed in Hornchurch, East London, prompting paramedics to respond to the incident. Her husband, Augustinas Druskis, aged 43 and a resident of Hornchurch, has been formally charged with her murder.
Scheduled to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, the accused was arrested following the incident at a residence on Cranham Road around 1:40 pm the previous evening. Although formal identification is pending, the victim has been identified as Agne, and her family has been notified.
According to a spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police Service, emergency services were alerted to the stabbing by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service at 01:04 hrs on Saturday. Despite efforts to save her, Agne succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Specialized officers are providing support to her next of kin, who have been notified.
The suspect, who was Agne’s spouse, was apprehended at the site of the crime.
