A 12-year-old girl was tragically found dead in a trunk near her parents’ workplace after CCTV footage captured her arriving home from school and then disappearing. Shockingly, it was revealed that the girl had endured unspeakable horrors, including alleged rape, torture, and murder by Dahbia Benkired, a woman from Algeria who was residing in the same building as the victim.
During the court proceedings, disturbing details emerged, with reports indicating that Lola Daviet had been subjected to a horrific ordeal before her death. Benkired, 24 at the time, allegedly carried out the brutal attack as retribution for the girl’s mother refusing to provide her with access to the apartment block.
Forensic evidence presented in court revealed that the young girl had suffered 38 wounds on her back and neck, ultimately succumbing to asphyxiation. The court also heard that Lola had been assaulted with scissors and a box cutter, with her head partially severed, among other grisly injuries.
Additionally, CCTV footage captured Benkired opening a suitcase containing the girl’s body at a bar in Paris after the murder. Reports mentioned mysterious numbers written on the victim’s feet, further adding to the chilling nature of the crime.
Throughout the trial, graphic images of Lola’s injuries were shown to the court, prompting some family members to leave the proceedings. Medical experts described the extensive trauma the girl had endured, including visible injuries to her genitals and other parts of her body.
