“Discover OPI’s Festive Nail Polish Advent Calendar!”

Must read

Previously, I frequented salons for professional nail treatments every month. However, this routine became costly and time-consuming over time. Wanting to maintain my favorite manicure without breaking the bank or leaving home, I actively seek out top-quality at-home nail polish products.

OPI stands out as a prominent name in the nail polish industry, with sought-after shades like Bubble Bath and Funny Bunny being favorites among beauty enthusiasts. Building a diverse nail polish collection at home can be time-consuming, but I discovered a shortcut for just over £50.

This season, OPI has introduced a nail polish advent calendar, and I had the opportunity to test it out. As a seasoned beauty writer, I was eager to try the OPI Good Enough to Treat Mini Nail Lacquer 12 Day Advent Calendar and see how it performed.

The OPI nail polish advent calendar features a charming design, with mini OPI nail polishes concealed behind a gingerbread house-themed box that unveils twelve doors. Each door reveals a new color, including seasonal shades like Yuletide Sweetings, Ginger Snapped, and OPI’m Frosted.

In addition to popular shades like Bubble Bath and Funny Bunny, OPI has included a top coat and a natural nail base coat in the advent calendar. The presence of these clear coats is crucial for achieving salon-quality manicures at home, as proper preparation is essential to prevent chipping.

Lucy Addicott, a beauty writer, thoroughly evaluated this advent calendar.

In my experience, OPI nail polishes can last up to two weeks without chipping. The application process is smooth and effortless, a key factor in achieving professional-looking manicures. Each polish comes with a wide brush for easy application without smudging.

The OPI advent calendar offers a wide range of colors, from metallic gold and silver to soft pastel pink and festive red. Unique shades like Spread the Cherry, a glittery brown/red, add to the variety.

I had to use my existing nail file and buffer since the calendar does not include tools, which was a minor drawback. Alternatively, the Manicurist All That Glitters Advent Calendar from Sephora comes with various nail tools but at a higher price of £139.

Amazon also offers the Essie Christmas Nail Polish Advent Calendar for £59, featuring eight full-size products, ten mini products, and four surprises.

The OPI advent calendar contains 12 mini nail polishes, which would individually cost £18 for a full-sized bottle in the same shade. This calendar presents a cost-effective opportunity to experiment with various shades at approximately £4.30 per bottle.

The mini nail polishes are convenient for on-the-go touch-ups and easy storage
