“Manhattan’s Aero 4K Set-Top Box Redefines TV Access”

Must read

A new option has emerged for households seeking TV access without ongoing subscription fees. Initially launched in 2024, Freely introduced the concept of live channel streaming through a broadband connection, limited to specific TV models at the time. However, in the last 18 months, the availability of Freely has expanded to include TVs from manufacturers like Hisense, Toshiba, and Sharp.

Recently, Manhattan’s technology team unveiled the Aero 4K set-top box, enabling any existing TV to access over 60 live channels and on-demand content without a costly subscription. Priced at £69.99, this device offers features such as voice search, personalized recommendations, a comprehensive TV guide, and the ability to pause live programming. Users can also access popular streaming services like Disney+ and Netflix through the box.

Currys became the first UK retailer to offer the Manhattan Aero 4K, which quickly sold out. The device will be restocked soon, and interested buyers can sign up on the Currys website for alerts. Other retailers, including Amazon and John Lewis, are expected to carry the device in the near future.

Once back in stock, the Aero 4K will compete with other streaming devices like Virgin’s Stream box and Sky Stream, all of which deliver content over the internet, eliminating the need for traditional antennas or satellite dishes. Transitioning to streaming platforms offers benefits such as easier installation processes without requiring professional setup and receiving regular updates seamlessly.

Amidst these developments, Freely celebrated surpassing one million users, indicating a growing trend of viewers embracing streaming services over conventional TV viewing methods.
