“Greggs Opens Twin Bakeries in Farnborough Surprise”

Must read

Residents in Farnborough, Hampshire were surprised as two Greggs outlets opened mere meters apart. The original bakery at 68 Queensmead now has a new neighbor at 62/64 Queensmead. Ryan Coates, a local resident, humorously commented on the town’s fondness for Greggs, capturing the situation on video and challenging the bakery chain to open a third outlet in town.

The proximity of the two bakeries has sparked anticipation of friendly rivalry among locals. However, Greggs clarified that only one of the two locations will remain open, with the original one closing its doors. The relocated store at 62/64 Queensmead offers an improved and larger space for customers.

Andrana Rudico, the shop manager, expressed excitement about welcoming both existing Greggs fans and new customers to the revamped store. Gillian Long, Retail Operations Director for Greggs, emphasized the enhanced customer experience at the new location, with additional team members joining to provide modern convenience and the brand’s popular offerings.

In other news, Greggs announced price adjustments on select items, including breakfast meal deals and biscuits. Despite the price increases, Roisin Currie, the chain’s chief executive, assured customers that they strive to maintain competitive pricing. The bakery chain also introduced new seasonal treats, such as a fajita chicken bake and a variety of toasties, including the cheese and caramelized onion toastie and the BBQ chicken toastie.

Greggs continues to innovate its menu, with classic favorites like the ham and cheese toastie receiving a makeover to enhance the customer dining experience.
