Wetherspoon has launched its January Sale in 600 pubs, offering a pint of beer for as low as 99p. The discounted drinks selection includes Worthington’s beer at 99p per pint, Coldwater Creek wine at £2.99 for a 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with mixer) at £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with mixer) at £1.99.
Additionally, a variety of low-alcohol and alcohol-free drinks are available, such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers Zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, and Gordons 0.0 pink gin, each priced at £1.69. Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa are on sale for 99p each. Discounts are also offered on Wetherspoon food items, including an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a chicken burger with chips for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.
Customers can enjoy six jacket potatoes for £4.99 with a soft drink or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink, with filling options like tuna mayo, coleslaw, chilli bean non-carne, cheese, baked beans, or roasted vegetables. For an additional 99p, customers can add extra fillings or a side salad. New gourmet jacket potatoes are available for £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic drink, featuring loaded spuds with various toppings like cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter, sour cream, chilli bean non-carne, guacamole, crushed tortilla chips, sliced chillies, coriander, pulled BBQ beef brisket, cheese, smoky chipotle mayo, and sliced chillies.
Wetherspoon’s founder and chairman, Tim Martin, expressed excitement about the January Sale, stating that it offers a wide range of drinks and food to cater to diverse preferences, including a selection of low and non-alcoholic options. The sale will be available in 600 pubs from January 2, extending to January 15, except in Scotland where it starts from January 3. Prices may vary at Wetherspoon’s other 200 venues.
