Must read

Sky recently revealed upcoming changes to its TV channel lineup, set to take effect imminently. As part of the update, two services, Sky Showcase and Sky Max, will be discontinued starting February 24. However, to compensate, Sky is reintroducing the popular channel, Sky One.

Launching tomorrow, Sky One will provide subscribers with a diverse range of comedy and entertainment programs, including new shows like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby. Fans can also expect to enjoy returning favorites such as Rob & Romesh Vs. and The Paper and Ted.

Additionally, Sky One will become the new home of Saturday Night Live UK, premiering later this year. Carli Kerr, the Managing Director of Sky TV & NOW, expressed excitement about the channel’s revival, emphasizing its unique offerings and the blend of new and classic content it will provide.

Sky One is scheduled to debut on channel 106 on February 24. In conjunction with this launch, Sky is introducing a new subscription plan called Ultimate TV, priced at £24 per month. This plan will grant customers access to popular streaming services like Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app.

Subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will also gain access to over 130 premium channels, including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, and Sky Crime. Additionally, Sky Cinema users will benefit from a dedicated Disney movie channel integrated into the TV guide, offering seamless access to Hollywood hits without the need for the Disney+ app.

Included in the £24 plan:

– Netflix Standard with Ads
– Disney+ Standard with Ads (from March)
– HBO Max Basic with Ads (from March 26th)
– Hayu (from July, with select shows available from March)
– PLUS: Over 130 channels from Sky

These enhancements aim to provide customers with a more comprehensive and convenient viewing experience, consolidating popular content under a single subscription service.
