Cat Deeley Firmly Rejects Idea of Co-Hosting with Ex

Must read

Cat Deeley, the popular host of This Morning, responded sharply to a question about potentially co-hosting a show with her former spouse, Patrick Kielty. The couple, who recently ended their 13-year marriage, had usually kept their relationship private. However, during an appearance on the Live with Kelly and Mark Show last year to celebrate her 49th birthday, Cat shared some insights into her bond with Patrick.

Before announcing their separation, Cat expressed her reluctance to work alongside Patrick on This Morning during an interview with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. She made it clear that she was not interested in sharing the hosting duties with him, despite his background as a stand-up comedian and host. When Kelly suggested it could be a pleasant experience, Cat humorously questioned what would happen if they had a disagreement on-air.

Cat and Patrick first crossed paths while co-presenting the BBC talent show Fame Academy in 2002. Their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship in 2011 when Patrick surprised Cat by flying to Los Angeles for her birthday brunch. They eventually got married in Rome less than a year later and had two sons together, Milo in 2016 and James in 2018.

After 13 years of marriage, the couple made the difficult decision to end their relationship earlier this year. In a joint statement, they confirmed their separation, emphasizing their commitment to co-parenting their children and requesting privacy. Cat, known for her television work on shows like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and The One Show, has maintained a prominent presence on screen for over two decades.
