Respond to a set of classic horror-themed inquiries intended to evaluate your instincts and determine if you’d emerge victorious. According to a recent survey, one-third of individuals in the UK believe they could endure a horror slasher film and potentially outsmart the antagonist.

A poll involving 2,000 adults showed that 34% are confident they could outrun a masked foe, with 75% believing their quick wits and survival skills would be their saviors. Meanwhile, 14% claimed they could outwit the villain using ‘logic and rationale.’

Despite this, 42% admitted they would likely be the initial target, and 13% would opt to run without looking back. Additionally, one out of 20 individuals thinks they might survive until the very end, albeit not necessarily escaping with their lives.

Nearly four out of 10 fear they would meet their demise by trusting the wrong person, while others might overlook clear warnings or separate from the group.

Alicia Afza, a representative from Nerds, which conducted the survey, remarked: “It’s intriguing to note how many individuals believe they possess the skills to survive a horror film.

“In essence, horror movies are not just about courage and chaos but also about swift decision-making.”

The study also revealed that Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street, Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs, and Michael Myers from Halloween are the most unforgettable villains in cinematic history.

Freddy Krueger and Hannibal Lecter have been voted as the most terrifying horror film antagonists, with Pennywise from It claiming the third spot.
