Witnessing communities recover from crises significantly enhances optimism for the future, with 95% expressing increased positivity in such scenarios. Although concerns over international conflicts and the impacts of climate change dampen spirits, 53% draw inspiration from communities uniting during emergencies, while an equal percentage find motivation in the actions of emergency responders and volunteers.
The launch of Hope Street, a two-day interactive event at Malaysia Square in Battersea Power Station in collaboration with People’s Postcode Lottery, aligns with these findings.
