“HBO Max Launches on Sky in UK, Offering Huge Savings”

Must read

Sky customers in the UK are in for a treat as the latest streaming service, HBO Max, has officially launched. Subscribers with the Sky Ultimate TV package can now enjoy top titles such as Game of Thrones, Friends, Dune, Succession, and Young Sheldon without any additional charges. This move offers significant savings, with over £50 in potential savings.

The new service, which has been available in the USA for some time, offers a vast collection of popular HBO dramas like Succession and The Wire, along with new Max Originals such as The Pitt. Additionally, viewers can access a wide range of Warner Bros. films.

To access HBO Max, Sky customers with the Ultimate TV package on Sky Glass or Sky Stream, or those with Sky Signature/Sky Entertainment on Sky Q, can easily activate the service by launching the HBO Max app from the homepage. Once set up, all content is available for on-demand streaming.

For non-Sky Ultimate TV customers interested in HBO Max, they can switch to the plan starting at £22 per month (rising to £24 from April 1st). This package includes over 130 Sky channels, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and the upcoming Hayu service.

Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, expressed excitement about the new offering, stating, “This marks a new era for Sky and NOW. For the first time anywhere, we’re bringing Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu together in a single subscription, offering a broad range of entertainment in an integrated experience.”

Furthermore, NOW Entertainment customers will also have access to HBO Max at no extra cost within the NOW app. Alternatively, individuals who are not Sky subscribers can directly sign up for HBO Max on its website, with Standard with Ads plans starting at £5.99.
