Hamilton played a key role in the success of the blockbuster F1 film and has now delved into music production and cinema, marking his significant entry into the entertainment industry.
The F1 movie, generating a staggering £479 million ($629m) worldwide, made history as the highest-grossing sports film, surpassing Pixar’s Cars 2. In an interview with The Ferrari Magazine, Hamilton expressed his delight in being actively involved in the film-making process, collaborating with the director, Joe Kosinski, and engaging with renowned personalities like Brad Pitt and Hans Zimmer.
Following the triumph of the F1 film, Hamilton’s production company remains active in the film industry, with plans for upcoming projects already in motion. Hamilton emphasized his passion for storytelling and the need for inspirational narratives in today’s challenging times. He revealed his interest in creating a television show and working on animation movie ideas, focusing on quality over quantity in line with acclaimed filmmaker Quentin Tarantino’s approach.
In a separate development, Sky has enhanced its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle to include HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+, and Hayu, along with 135 channels and extensive coverage of Formula 1 events, including practices, qualifiers, and races throughout the season.
Hamilton also highlighted the significance of maintaining a creative balance alongside his racing pursuits, emphasizing the importance of finding inspiration and upliftment. Meanwhile, on the track, Hamilton remains determined to secure his first F1 podium finish with Ferrari as the team competes fiercely with Mercedes and Red Bull in the Constructors’ Championship, holding a narrow one-point lead over its rivals with four races remaining in the 2025 season.
