A man, identified as Paul Gary Turner, has been convicted of murdering his former partner, Sarah Thomas, during a court session where they were discussing a financial dispute. The crime occurred at Joondalup courthouse in Perth, Australia, where Turner unexpectedly assaulted Thomas, causing her death. Turner, who previously received training in combat knife skills, claimed memory loss during the trial due to a head injury. Despite his defense, the jury found him guilty of murder and sentenced him to a minimum of 24 years in prison.
In a separate incident, Michael James fatally stabbed Bradley Hollis, his ex-girlfriend’s new partner, in a jealous rage. James was sentenced to 14 years for manslaughter and possessing a bladed article in a public place. He also admitted to assaulting his ex-partner before the fatal attack on Hollis.
