“Sky Customers Facing Glitch with ITVX App”

Must read

Some Sky customers are facing an annoying glitch affecting the popular ITVX app. The issue started late last week, causing viewing interruptions where programs skip to the end randomly. Users have reported being taken to the credits without manually fast-forwarding, disrupting their viewing experience.

On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky complained about ITV Player skipping to the end of episodes for the past few days. Another user, Dawn, shared similar experiences of programs abruptly jumping to the end, particularly at the start or after ad breaks.

The glitch seems to impact users with Sky’s online devices like Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it’s uncertain if Sky Q is affected, most complaints come from users with broadband-connected devices rather than satellite dishes.

Sky employee Kev acknowledged the issue online, mentioning that the company is aware of the problem and is collaborating with ITV to find a solution. Kev assured users that the support teams are working on resolving the issue and promised updates as soon as more information is available.

For now, users may have to endure the skipping problem, but a fix is in progress. Mirror Online will provide updates on the situation as new developments arise.
