Liam Gallagher’s son Gene has shared significant career news. The 24-year-old, known for his modeling work, has been gaining attention in the music scene as the lead of the band Villanelle.
Villanelle, comprised of Gene, Jack Schiavo, and Ben Taylor, has previously accompanied Gene’s father on tour and recently completed their own successful headline tour across the country. Now, they have landed a major opportunity to support Miles Kane during his upcoming tour in the United Kingdom next year.
Miles Kane, a musician from Wirral, will be embarking on a tour to promote his sixth studio album, “Sunlight In The Shadows,” starting from January 24 next year. Villanelle, fresh from the release of their debut single “Hinge,” is excited to be part of this tour.
Expressing their enthusiasm for the upcoming tour, the band stated, “Very pleased to announce we will be joining @mileskane on his 2026 UK tour. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 am.”
Fans were thrilled by the news, taking to social media to express their excitement. Gene described their single “Hinge” as inspired by sleepless nights and paranoia, perhaps written during a hungover moment.
Ben added, “Hinge is simple yet high-energy; anyone can play it, but no one can play it like us.” The band will join Miles in various cities, including Glasgow, Sheffield, Southampton, and London’s iconic Roundhouse in Camden on January 30.
“Sunlight In The Shadows,” produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, is a collection of 12 tracks blending psych-infused rock ‘n’ roll. The album features energetic rock tunes alongside smooth anthems, showcasing Miles’ distinctive guitar style and a fun vibe.
Reflecting on the album, Miles shared, “All roads, over 20 years, have led here. Dan and I love mixing T. Rex, Motown, and The Easybeats, and the result is this record. It’s an album that needs to be played live.”
Teaming up with talented musicians for the album, Kane and Auerbach worked on the original songs with contributions from various artists. Auerbach’s backing vocals and guitar work can be heard throughout the tracks, alongside a guitar army featuring renowned musicians.
