Marco Pierre White Jr has been sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison today for a series of burglaries and shoplifting incidents. The Big Brother personality appeared at Isleworth Crown Court via video link to receive the sentence after admitting to the offenses earlier this year.
The son of the renowned Michelin star chef Marco Pierre White had been in custody on remand after pleading guilty to four counts of burglary and one count of criminal damage in a crime spree spanning west London and Bath. Despite being absent when the sentence was handed down, the judge described Pierre White Jr as a “prolific acquisitive offender” due to his history of non-compliance with court orders and previous suspended sentences.
The court activated 25 weeks of suspended sentences on top of the prison term for breaching them during the recent offenses. Pierre White Jr’s barrister attributed his actions to a long-standing drug addiction, exacerbated by the closure of his treatment center. The star had stolen items like crystal lamp towers, plush toys, and rock crystal formations during the incidents, often using a Lime Bike for a quick getaway.
In addition, he threatened a store employee and shoplifted hygiene products. The offenses were committed while he was under the influence of drugs to support his addiction. White Jr’s criminal record and repeated breaches of suspended sentences were key factors in the sentencing decision.
