Former TOWIE celebrity Elliott Wright has announced his decision to sell Olivia’s La Cala, the Spanish restaurant he has cherished for years. The 45-year-old reality TV personality shared a sincere message on Instagram, revealing that he and his wife, Sadie Stuart Wright, have made the difficult choice to part ways with the well-known establishment after nearly ten years of operation.
Reflecting on the journey, Elliott expressed, “In 2015, I embarked on a venture that many doubted in La Cala de Mijas, a significant risk.” He went on to describe the experience as a mix of emotions, challenges, and joy, acknowledging the incredible moments but confirming the sale of Olivia’s. Recognizing life’s evolving chapters, he thanked patrons for their support over the past decade.
In a heartfelt video, Elliott disclosed that the decision was influenced by family priorities and his children’s aspirations. With five children in total, including Elliott Jr, Olivia, Billy, John, and newborn Dolly, he emphasized the importance of being united as a family. After more than 20 years in Spain, he and Sadie have decided that relocating back to the UK aligns with their family’s future.
Olivia’s La Cala, named after his daughter, has become a popular destination for celebrities and tourists since its establishment in 2015. The venue, known for hosting star-studded events featuring Elliott’s TOWIE colleagues and performances by James Argent, is now up for sale. The property, including the beachfront location and the Olivia’s La Cala brand, will be auctioned by Bromley Estates Marbella, with bids starting at €5 million and closing on December 5.
Describing Olivia’s as his “passion” and “a love story,” Elliott shared his bittersweet sentiments about letting go of the iconic restaurant. He expressed gratitude for the memories and experiences while acknowledging that it is time to pass on the legacy to new custodians, marking the end of an era.
