La connection between “Strictly Come Dancing” personality La Voix and a major jewelry heist has recently come to light. La Voix, known for her appearance on Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK, found herself unwittingly involved in one of the largest robberies in UK history.
The peculiar tale resurfaced when she joined the BBC show, leaving many puzzled about her unlikely association with the crime. In 2009, while working as a theatrical makeup artist, La Voix, whose real name is Chris Dennis, was enlisted by two men for a unique task – to age them using makeup for what she believed was a music video shoot.
Little did La Voix know, the men she transformed, Aman Kassaye and Craig Calderwood, were gearing up for a dramatic heist at the Graff diamond store in London just after their makeover session. The duo proceeded to threaten the staff at gunpoint, making away with a staggering £40 million worth of precious gems.
Subsequently, Calderwood was convicted of robbery and firearm possession, receiving a 21-year prison sentence, while Kassaye, the mastermind behind the operation, was handed a 23-year sentence for conspiracy, firearm possession, and kidnapping.

The police even collected evidence from her, including makeup tools, clothing, and masks, for forensic examination.
