“Aldi Introduces ‘Live Healthy’ Logo for Nutritious Shopping”

Must read

Aldi is set to implement a significant change in all its UK stores starting next week to simplify healthy shopping for customers. The popular budget supermarket chain is unveiling its new ‘Live Healthy’ logo, which will gradually be introduced in all its stores over the upcoming week.

This logo will be featured on select own-brand products like fresh fruits, vegetables, soups, and yogurts, highlighting items that align with a nutritious, well-balanced diet as recommended by the UK’s Eatwell Guide. Products bearing this symbol have undergone rigorous assessments to ensure they meet stringent nutritional standards in line with health guidelines.

By incorporating this logo, shoppers will be empowered to make more informed choices when filling their shopping carts, effortlessly encouraging healthier eating habits, as per reports from the Express.

Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK, expressed, “At Aldi, our ongoing mission has been to provide a range of healthy foods at affordable prices for everyone. We understand that our customers seek cost-effective, healthier options that align with their daily routines. The ‘Live Healthy’ logo serves as a clear, reliable marker to assist them in achieving this goal – without compromising on cost or flavor.”

This new initiative is part of Aldi’s commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles, following the government’s recent unveiling of a 10-year health strategy. As part of this commitment, Aldi has established targets to encourage better eating habits among its customers. By 2027, Aldi aims to have 85% of its sales derived from healthy products and intends to boost the sales of fruits and vegetables by 14%.

These targets will enable the retailer to track its progress and reinforce its efforts in advocating for nutritious choices nationwide. Furthermore, Aldi has various programs in place to support a healthy diet for its customers, including Super 6 offers on fresh produce and partnerships with Team GB and ParalympicsGB through its Get Set To Eat Fresh initiative, which helps children aged 5-14 develop cooking skills for preparing nutritious and affordable meals.
