Big Brother saw the return of a familiar face as 2023 evictee Farida Khalifa re-entered the house through a secret room, where she shared some explosive comments about current housemate Nancy Nocerino with fellow secret housemate Sam Ashby.
After the fake eviction of Sam, co-hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best disclosed that Sam, Farida, and former controversial housemate Emily Hewertson would be observing the other housemates from a secret room before rejoining them.
In the secret room, Farida criticized Nancy, labeling her a “mean girl.” This came after an incident where Nancy and Sam were caught calling fellow housemate Jenny Baird “fake,” leading to tensions and eventual nominations for eviction for both Nancy and Sam.
Discussing the situation, Farida pointed out Nancy’s behavior, stating, “Unfortunately, [Nancy] is giving mean girls vibes.” She also advised Sam on the consequences of aligning himself with the wrong person, referencing a previous incident that put Sam in a difficult position.
Sam, Farida, and Emily will have the opportunity to participate in behind-the-scenes challenges and influence aspects of the main house from the secret room before rejoining the group.
Emily, the first evicted housemate of this season, faced criticism for her political views and controversial statements. She was known for her support of the Conservative party and her intentions of finding a husband on the show, which led to mixed reactions from viewers.
Emily’s return stirred controversy, with some viewers expressing disdain for her political affiliations and accusing the show of providing a platform for her controversial views. This sparked a debate among fans, with some questioning the decision to bring her back on the show.
