Body of Missing Glasgow Man Found on Dunoon Beach

Must read

Police have sadly found a deceased individual during their quest for a missing man from Glasgow who had disappeared several weeks ago. Ryan Welsh, a resident of Milton, was reported missing by his family after losing contact on October 3. The last confirmed sighting of the 27-year-old occurred on October 5 at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

Following his disappearance, his partner and uncle initiated an urgent appeal to locate him. Despite extensive efforts by the police over a span of more than two weeks, they came across a man’s body around 12.40 pm on October 20 at Marine Parade, Dunoon.

Although formal identification is pending, Mr. Welsh’s family has been notified. Authorities are currently treating his passing as “unexplained.” A representative from Police Scotland disclosed that a man’s body was discovered on the beach at Marine Parade in Dunoon on October 20, 2025, as reported by Glasgow Live.

The necessity for answers and assistance remains constant for the families and friends of missing individuals, regardless of the passage of time. Many missing persons encounter harm while absent and are disregarded upon their return. To address this crisis, a well-structured government strategy led by key departments like the Home Office, Education, and Health is imperative.

Currently, there is a lack of adequate support, leading to recurring instances of individuals going missing without proper investigation. To address this issue, a petition has been initiated, aiming to garner government attention and instigate meaningful action.

The Mirror has launched a campaign called Missed in collaboration with Missing People to raise awareness about publicly listed missing persons in the UK through an interactive map. This map allows users to view missing persons in their area, providing details such as names, ages, and duration of disappearance. Additionally, individuals can report sightings confidentially and share information on social media.
