A 26-year-old British man named Kenrelle O’Flaherty was discovered dead with gunshot wounds in St Lucia on Tuesday. O’Flaherty, who was residing in Anguilla, was on a visit to St Lucia when he was found shot in Garrand, Babonneau, located on the island’s North East coast.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force reported that officers from the Babonneau station were alerted about a lifeless body on a roadside at approximately 10:50 pm. Upon reaching the scene, the police found O’Flaherty with visible gunshot injuries, leading to his unfortunate death.
Originally from London and residing in nearby Anguilla, O’Flaherty’s visit duration to St Lucia before the incident remains unknown. Authorities have initiated a murder inquiry to uncover the circumstances surrounding his tragic death.

In a separate incident, an 80-year-old woman named Suzanne Rees was found deceased on Lizard Island in Queensland, Australia. Rees, who was part of a cruise ship tour, went missing after falling ill during an organized hike. The cruise ship departed for its next destination, leaving her behind, sparking criticism from her family regarding the lack of care and responsibility by Coral Expeditions, the tour operator.
Coral Expeditions’ CEO, Mark Fifield, expressed condolences and stated that a search and rescue operation was conducted after the woman was reported missing. Queensland Police later confirmed her tragic death on Lizard Island. The company is cooperating with authorities in the ongoing investigation and offering support to the bereaved family during this challenging period.
