Despite the incident happening in a well-lit area with people around, Gallacher recounted how a man dressed in dark clothing approached her, brushed past her, then suddenly kicked her before fleeing the scene.
Expressing her shock and displaying bruises as evidence, Gallacher emphasized that she was not instigating any confrontation and was simply going about her usual business heading back home to her family. She highlighted the lack of immediate assistance from a nearby security guard but thanked witnesses, particularly some helpful women who intervened.
Gallacher, who kickstarted her broadcasting career with Sky Sports in the late 90s and later returned as a Sky Sports News presenter in 2011 for a seven-year tenure, has also showcased her hosting skills on programs with other networks such as ITV and Channel 4. Additionally, she has ventured into radio broadcasting, currently hosting a drive time show on Gold Radio during weekdays.
