Dell has officially announced the revival of its XPS brand after facing backlash for discontinuing it a year ago. The tech company acknowledged its mistake and has reintroduced the XPS lineup with a promise of an enhanced experience.
The new Windows 11 laptops under the XPS brand have undergone a complete redesign, featuring premium materials like aluminium and Gorilla Glass 3 for durability and a sleek appearance. The laptops sport a fresh design with the XPS logo prominently displayed on the lid.
In addition to the aesthetic upgrades, Dell has revamped the keyboard for better stability, reduced accidental key presses, and introduced a seamless glass touchpad that seamlessly integrates into the palm rest. The overall portability has been improved, with a reduction in weight and thickness for enhanced convenience.
The latest XPS models, including the XPS 14 and XPS 16, are now the thinnest laptops from Dell, measuring only 14.6mm in thickness. This slim profile is partly attributed to a redesigned 4K webcam, the narrowest 8MP camera ever integrated into a Dell laptop.
Performance has also seen significant enhancements with Intel’s latest Ultra processors, ensuring faster speeds, superior graphics performance, and improved efficiency. The laptops feature a redesigned thermal system to manage temperatures effectively even during demanding tasks.
The inclusion of Intel Arc graphics with 12 cores promises a 50% boost in graphics performance compared to the previous generation. Moreover, the high-density 900ED cells provide up to 27 hours of battery life on a single charge, powering the vibrant display throughout the day.
Other notable features of the new XPS laptops include edge-to-edge touch displays, powerful Dolby Atmos speakers, and a variety of ports for connecting peripherals. Dell unveiled the new XPS 14 and XPS 16 models at CES 2026, emphasizing their premium design, powerful performance, stunning displays, and long-lasting battery life in a compact and portable package.
