This feature allows users to modify their Google Account username, the part before @gmail.com, used for various services like Gmail, Photos, and Drive. The original email address will still function alongside the new one, ensuring no missed messages. Google assures that existing data such as photos, messages, and emails will remain intact.
Although this update is currently only available in the US, users in the UK will have to wait. Residents in the US can access this feature by navigating to their Google account settings, selecting personal info, and then choosing the email section to change their account email. It’s important to note that only one new address can be created every 12 months. Users are advised to monitor their settings to determine if the update has reached their accounts.
