“London Garage Makeover Sells for £1.4M”

Must read

A set of neglected garages in London underwent a significant makeover, leading to an impressive transformation and a subsequent sale at £1.4 million. Situated in Ealing, West London, the rundown garages were demolished to make space for a new underground residence spanning three levels.

The previously unused area has now become a highly desirable location, selling within just two days of being listed on the market. Notably, the luxurious house was revamped by Nathan Khider, known for his role on BBC’s “The Traitors” and his expertise in the London property market through his firm, Nathan K Real Estate.

Originally purchased by Nathan for £300,000, the five garages were converted into a 1577-square-foot home, fetching a selling price over four times the initial investment. Nathan expressed satisfaction with the project’s success, highlighting the unique design of the house that captivated a cash buyer’s immediate interest.

The unconventional project involved half of the house being constructed underground, featuring a modern three-bedroom layout. Despite facing challenges during the construction phase, including the integration of brickwork, glass, steel, and concrete, Nathan emphasized his delight with the final outcome.

The property showcases a basement utility room, two bathrooms, and two bedrooms, while the kitchen-diner is located at a half-basement level. The ground floor hosts the third bedroom, offering views of the garden terrace and ample natural light through large windows and skylights.

Acknowledging the complexities of building underground, Nathan praised the teamwork and vision that brought the project to fruition, ultimately resulting in a remarkable and successful transformation.
