“Oasis Recruits Guitarist Mike Moore for Tour”

Must read

Oasis has enlisted guitarist Mike Moore to take the place of Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs for their upcoming tour dates. Moore, a close friend of Liam Gallagher and a member of his solo touring band, will step in for rhythm guitar duties starting from their show at Goyang Stadium in Seoul. Fans spotted Moore arriving at the airport ahead of the gig, and sources confirmed he will be joining Oasis for the next 24 hours.

Bonehead, who recently announced he is undergoing prostate cancer treatment, will be absent for parts of the tour. Moore, who has been performing with Liam since 2017, is familiar with the Oasis repertoire from their solo performances. While Moore’s role is temporary, he is thrilled for the opportunity and eager to hit the stage.

In addition to Moore, Liam’s band now includes Christian Madden on keyboards. The remaining members of Oasis, Noel Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and Joey Waronker, are continuing the tour in South Korea before heading to Australia and other destinations such as Chile, Brazil, and Argentina.

Bonehead shared his cancer diagnosis earlier this year, expressing gratitude for responding well to treatment but needing to miss shows in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Sydney for further care. He anticipates returning for the South American leg of the tour in November. Anais, Noel Gallagher’s daughter, sent her support to Bonehead on social media.

Bonehead played a pivotal role in reuniting Noel and Liam Gallagher for the tour, which kicked off with sold-out shows in Cardiff after a 16-year hiatus. During one of the comeback performances, Noel acknowledged Bonehead’s contribution to the band’s history.

Bonehead previously battled tonsil cancer in 2022, announcing his successful recovery in a social media post. For those impacted by similar stories, support resources are available through Macmillan Cancer Support and Prostate Cancer UK.
