Richard Osman Slams Jeremy Clarkson as “Coward” Ahead of Book Release

Must read

Richard Osman has criticized Jeremy Clarkson, calling him a “coward” before the release of his upcoming book centered on life at Diddly Squat Farm. Clarkson’s new book, “Diddly Squat: The Farmer’s Dog,” is scheduled to debut this week as authors vie for the top spot during the holiday season.

Traditionally, the period between September and November is popular for book releases to capitalize on Christmas shopping. Osman, known for his successful “Thursday Murder Club” series, suggested that Clarkson’s decision to release his book closer to Christmas might be a strategic move to boost sales.

During his podcast, “The Rest is Entertainment,” Osman expressed his opinion, stating, “Clarkson is launching another Diddly Squat quite near Christmas, which is a cowardly approach to book releases.” He hinted at author Charlie Mackesy potentially clinching the Christmas number one spot with his latest book, “Always Remember,” released on October 9.

Osman aims to outsell other popular contenders, including the Guinness World Records, which dominated the Christmas bestseller list last year. He also highlighted anticipated memoirs from various celebrities like Sir Anthony Hopkins, Sir Bradley Wiggins, Paul Gascoigne, and Chris McCausland, with a special mention of Susie Wolf’s “Driven” expected to be a hit this festive season.

Representatives of Jeremy Clarkson have been contacted for comments on the matter.
