Runaway Tipper Truck Causes Chaos in Malaysia

Must read

Terrifying video footage captured the moment a runaway tipper truck collided with a garbage truck and cars after running through traffic lights in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning, October 21st, when the out-of-control lorry descended a hill, according to local authorities. A dashcam video revealed the chaotic scene as the tipper truck approached at high speed, causing significant damage to the vehicles involved.

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department responded promptly to the accident after being alerted at 9:07 am, arriving at the scene within nine minutes. Officials reported that the collision involved a tipper truck, a garbage truck, and two Perodua Myvi cars. Four individuals, including three foreign nationals and a 34-year-old woman, were found injured at the site. Emergency responders extracted them from the vehicles before transferring them to medical personnel for further treatment.

Subsequently, it was confirmed by the police that a total of six people sustained injuries, including the 35-year-old local driver of the tipper truck. One victim suffered a broken leg as a result of the crash. Law enforcement detained the lorry driver for interrogation and initiated an official investigation into the incident.

In a separate incident earlier this year in the UK, a lorry narrowly avoided a head-on collision by veering across a motorway central reservation. The incident occurred between junctions 28 and 29, near Cullompton and Exeter in Devon, on Friday, August 1st. The driver of a Porsche 911, Peter Stone, managed to swerve his vehicle just in time to evade the oncoming lorry, preventing a potentially fatal accident. Stone recounted the harrowing experience, emphasizing the quick reflexes that saved him from a catastrophic crash.

Amidst the dangers on the road, vigilance and swift reactions can make all the difference in averting tragic outcomes.
