Millions of Sky Mobile subscribers are set to experience an increase in their monthly bills starting next month following a recent announcement. Most customers will encounter a £1.50 per month hike, totaling an annual increment of £18. However, individual bill changes may vary.
The adjusted pricing will take effect on February 14, 2026, marking the first rate adjustment for in-contract Sky Mobile users in over seven years. Customers dissatisfied with the price hike and within the minimum contract period have the option to cancel their package without incurring early termination fees.
Notably, the cost of the Sky Mobile social tariff, catering to individuals with limited incomes, will remain unaltered. Sky attributed the price adjustment to escalating wholesale network expenses and assured customers of timely communication regarding bill adjustments.
A spokesperson from Sky Mobile explained that to maintain the expected quality, service, and value for customers, the majority of subscribers will witness a £1.50 monthly increase starting in February. The decision, made after more than seven years without mid-contract price adjustments, was deemed necessary to address industry-wide cost pressures while continuing to invest in network infrastructure and customer satisfaction.
In a similar move, O2 disclosed that nearly all mobile and SIM-only contract customers will encounter a £2.50 monthly bill increment from April 2026, up from the initially planned £1.80 raise. Three mobile users opting for a data plan of 4GB or lower will face a £1.80 monthly increase from April 2026, higher by 80p compared to the existing £1 hike.
Customers with data plans ranging from 4GB to 100GB can anticipate a £1.90 monthly rise, while those exceeding 100GB will experience a £2.30 bump in their monthly bills. Additionally, Three broadband subscribers will see a £3.50 monthly escalation from April 2026.
Vodafone mobile customers engaging in new deals from November 12 will witness a £2.50 monthly increase, with Basics SIM plan users facing a £1.50 raise. Vodafone broadband subscribers are slated for a £3.50 monthly increment. Existing Vodafone or Three broadband or mobile contract holders will witness the agreed-upon price hike.
The adjustments in pricing across various mobile and broadband service providers are a response to industry challenges and cost pressures, emphasizing the importance of maintaining service quality and customer satisfaction.
