“Brighton’s Baleba Deletes Instagram Post Amid Manchester United Transfer Rumors”

Must read

Carlos Baleba has removed a social media post where he addressed the ongoing transfer rumors linking him to Manchester United before Brighton’s upcoming match at Old Trafford. The match between Brighton and Manchester United in the Premier League is scheduled for Saturday evening, with all attention focused on Baleba.

Manchester United, coming off two consecutive wins, will face Brighton as Ruben Amorim aims to sustain their recent positive performance. The home team will be monitoring Brighton midfielder Baleba closely, following their unsuccessful attempt to secure his transfer during the summer transfer window.

Brighton attracted interest from Manchester United for the Cameroon international, but the potential move stalled due to the exorbitant asking price, exceeding £100 million. The significant transfer fee received from Chelsea for Moises Caicedo set a high benchmark.

Despite the failed transfer, Baleba reportedly maintains a desire to switch from Brighton to Manchester United in the future, eager to impress Amorim. Ahead of the match, Hurzeler had to address inquiries about his midfielder during the pre-match press conference, particularly regarding Baleba’s Instagram post.

The 21-year-old initially shared a post featuring himself promoting the match at Old Trafford, accompanied by a caption “Coming to Old Trafford” with a laughing emoji. Concerned about potential implications, he promptly deleted the post and reposted it without the sarcastic caption, but not before fans noticed.

While Baleba has faced challenges in form this season, his performance in Brighton’s recent 2-1 victory against Newcastle United earned praise from his manager. Hurzeler emphasized the need for Baleba to maintain consistency in his performances to further enhance his development.

Brighton, familiar with larger clubs attempting to poach their players, anticipates interest in Baleba at the end of the season. Tony Bloom, Brighton’s chairman, clarified that despite Manchester United’s interest in Baleba, the club asserted his unavailability for transfer during the summer window. Bloom highlighted Baleba’s significant improvement and his crucial role for the team this season.
