“Flight Delayed Over Couple’s In-Flight Dispute”

Must read

A woman reportedly caused a significant flight delay following a dispute in the departure lounge where she insisted on sitting next to her partner. The incident occurred on November 2, resulting in a delay of one hour and 40 minutes before the flight could take off.

The altercation began when the woman and her partner were waiting to board the aircraft, with the woman accusing her partner of infidelity while he claimed she had been inappropriate during intimate moments and had been staring at other female passengers. Additionally, the woman alleged that her partner had sexually assaulted her multiple times and claimed to have medical records supporting her accusations.

Upon boarding the Airbus A320 flight from Da Nang, Vietnam, to Hong Kong, the couple found themselves seated in separate rows. The woman became increasingly agitated and demanded to be moved to sit next to her boyfriend. Despite flight attendants explaining that seat assignments could not be changed, the woman continued to cause a scene, leading to further disruptions.

The situation escalated when the woman pushed a flight attendant, prompting other crew members to intervene and restrain her. Despite warnings to calm down, the woman allegedly became aggressive again and pushed the flight attendant a second time. Eventually, the couple was removed from the cabin, allowing the flight to finally depart.

The HK Express flight UO559 arrived at Hong Kong International Airport approximately 71 minutes behind schedule, landing at around 10:36 pm. HK Express, a Hong Kong-based low-cost airline known for its affordable fares and short-haul routes across Asia, was involved in the incident.
