Evri ParcelShops will soon be available in all Asda supermarkets nationwide as part of a new collaboration between the two companies. These service points, enabling customers to send, receive, and return parcels, are already operational in more than 9,000 local businesses across the UK.
The Evri service was recently rolled out in over 300 Asda locations, including Express convenience stores, supermarkets, and superstores. By April 2026, ParcelShops will be accessible in all 1,200 Asda stores nationwide.
Chris Hall, Asda’s Vice President of Logistics, expressed excitement about the partnership with Evri, highlighting the added convenience it brings to customers during the holiday season. The collaboration aims to provide flexibility for customers to manage their parcels conveniently while shopping at Asda stores.
Evri recently announced a £50 million investment to expand its Parcelshop and Locker network to 25,000 locations by 2030. To locate the nearest ParcelShop, individuals can visit Evri’s website.
Martijn de Lange, Chief Executive at Evri, emphasized the significance of the partnership with Asda in enhancing delivery services tailored to modern UK shoppers. This collaboration aims to offer customers more choices, convenience, and control over their parcel deliveries.
The introduction of Evri’s new ParcelShops comes at a time of increasing concern about the future of Post Offices in the UK. Approximately 6,000 Post Offices nationwide are at risk of permanent closure, with over 100 facing potential franchise arrangements.
The UK Government conducted a Green Paper consultation earlier in 2025 to gather public opinion on the future of the Post Office network. Neil Brocklehurst, Post Office CEO, highlighted the need for evolution to meet changing customer demands and ensure the sustainability of Post Offices across the country.
Post Offices are seen as crucial for revitalizing high streets, driving economic growth, and modernizing government services. The aim is to transform the Post Office network to remain relevant and sustainable for years to come.
