A high-ranking NHS official has been accused in court of sexually assaulting multiple children, including rape of a young boy, by using deceptive Snapchat profiles under false identities to target girls.
Paul Lipscombe, a convicted pedophile, is facing sentencing at Leicester Crown Court after admitting to a series of criminal acts, including rape, sexual assault, and engaging in sexual activities with minors between the ages of 12 and 15.
The 51-year-old, residing in Rothley, Leicestershire, confessed to 34 charges, including creating indecent images of children, distributing them, and prompting sexual activities. Lipscombe, a married software specialist, also acknowledged orchestrating a kidnapping scenario involving a missing girl.
Prosecutor Frida Hussain KC revealed that Lipscombe was apprehended while driving his Tesla near a KFC last year, where he was suspected of abducting the girl. The victim, a 15-year-old, was coerced by Lipscombe to fabricate a story to the police, alleging abuse and seeking refuge elsewhere.
Upon investigation, authorities found the victim at a rented location, where evidence of sexual assault was discovered. Subsequent searches at various sites linked to Lipscombe unveiled incriminating items, prompting a deeper probe into his actions.
Despite initial silence during police interrogations, Lipscombe’s online presence, including multiple social media and messaging accounts, portrayed a false image of him as an esteemed professional. The court proceedings are ongoing as the sentencing phase unfolds.
