“Spice Girls Enforce ‘Rule of Four’ to Fast-Track Netflix Biopic”

Must read

The Spice Girls are reportedly planning to utilize their “rule of four” agreement to prevent Geri Horner, also known as Ginger Spice, from delaying the filming of an upcoming Netflix TV biopic. It is said that Geri has been hesitant for nearly a year while Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Mel C, and Emma Bunton are eager to move forward with the project. The group is prepared to activate the agreement, which was previously used in 2019, allowing them to proceed if at least four members are in favor.

This decision aims to ensure that the biopic receives the necessary endorsements from all members in time for the group’s 30th anniversary next year. There are discussions about potential celebratory events such as a tour or performance as part of the milestone festivities.

However, it is understood that Geri, aged 53, is still dealing with the aftermath of her husband Christian’s dismissal as the Red Bull Formula 1 team boss following a scandal. The Spice Girls previously employed the rule of four when they toured as a foursome in 2019 without Victoria Beckham, who was occupied with her fashion endeavors at the time.

Formed in London in 1994, the Spice Girls released their debut studio album, “Spice,” in 1996, which swiftly achieved chart-topping success in both the UK and the US. The forthcoming drama, focusing on the band’s early years, is in development with Orchid Pictures, a division of Netflix led by Suzanne Mackie, known for her work on “The Crown.”

The biopic will trace the Spice Girls’ massive accomplishments in the initial years, including their string of nine UK number one singles before their first hiatus in 2000. The Mirror has reached out to Geri’s representative for a statement.
