Westlife has confirmed that Mark Feehily remains an integral part of the group despite his absence from their 25th-anniversary tour due to health reasons. Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, and Kian Egan will be the only performers at the upcoming shows as Mark continues to recover from health setbacks, including sepsis and pneumonia.
During an appearance on The One Show, the trio hinted at the upcoming Westlife gigs. Host JB Gill mentioned Mark’s absence from the tour and asked if he was still a member of the band. Shane reassured that Mark is indeed a valued member, although he won’t be joining them on tour this time.
Kian also emphasized that Mark has contributed to the new music despite not being present for the tour, praising his exceptional vocals. Earlier this month, Westlife announced Mark’s absence from the anniversary celebrations but expressed hope for his return to the stage when he is ready.
Mark previously shared details of his health challenges, including battles with sepsis, pneumonia, and undergoing multiple surgeries. The band expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from fans worldwide as they celebrate their 25th anniversary.
