Dani Dyer recently discussed her past romantic relationships with Sammy Kimmence and Jack Fincham, acknowledging that she had loved the wrong individuals. The 29-year-old gained fame after appearing on the popular ITV dating show, Love Island, in 2018, where she emerged as the winner alongside Jack.
Following her split from Jack shortly after their Love Island victory, Dani reunited with Sammy, with whom she shares a son named Santiago, born in January 2021.
However, their relationship came to an end in July of the same year when Sammy was sentenced to three years in prison for his involvement in a £34k scam. During a conversation with Jamie Laing on his podcast, Dani admitted her past mistakes in choosing partners but expressed no regrets regarding those experiences.
Reflecting on her time with Sammy, Dani acknowledged that she should not have rekindled their relationship. She mentioned, “Before Love Island, he showed no interest in settling down with me and had a reputation as a player. It was a mistake to revisit that chapter.” She emphasized the positive impact of motherhood on her life, stating, “I don’t regret anything… having Santi changed me as a person, so I’m grateful for that.”
She further mentioned that she and Sammy maintained a cordial relationship for the sake of their son, ensuring he did not feel any discomfort due to their interactions.
Currently, Dani is married to Jarrod Bowen and together they have twins named Summer and Star. She expressed occasional guilt over her son having separated parents, noting the difference in experiences between him and his siblings.
Regarding her absence during Sammy’s prison term, Dani admitted to feeling naive for not questioning his actions. She explained, “I was involved with the wrong person and refrained from speaking out to protect Santi from any negative impact.”
Recalling her relationship with Jack, Dani shared that she initially believed he was the one for her but realized they had conflicting priorities. While she preferred a homely atmosphere, Jack enjoyed a more outgoing lifestyle. She recognized their incompatibility in the outside world.
