Alberta Storm Alert Lifted: Environment Canada Cancels Yellow Warning

Environment Canada has canceled a yellow alert for severe weather following a storm that swept through parts of southern Alberta on Tuesday evening. The agency cautioned about damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rainfall as the storm progressed from Claresholm towards areas near Lethbridge and Medicine Hat.

Earlier in the afternoon, a warning was issued for a dangerous thunderstorm capable of generating baseball-sized hail and causing damage to structures and trees. A yellow watch for severe thunderstorms remained in effect for a significant area stretching from Claresholm to Hays and extending south to the U.S. border by Tuesday night.
