“The Traitors” returns with a fresh ensemble of stars poised for their moment in the murder mystery spotlight. The announcement of the cast for the reality competition series’ fifth season on Friday brought together a new group of celebrities and reality TV personalities in the castle, all with a common mindset: trust no one.
The lineup for this season includes singer Cody Simpson, Mormon Wife Whitney Leavitt, Real Housewife Gizelle Bryant, and actor-singer Kristin Chenoweth, among others. Host Alan Cummings assigns a select few players as traitors, while the rest are considered faithful. Each week, the traitors convene in secret to eliminate one of the faithful. Subsequently, the group engages in discussions, accusations, and voting to identify and eliminate potential traitors.
Having been renewed for three additional seasons, the show dominated the 76th Emmy Awards, winning accolades such as outstanding reality competition program and outstanding host for a reality or reality competition program for Alan Cummings.
