Two individuals have been taken into custody and charged by homicide investigators in British Columbia in connection with the gang-related murder of a man in a taxi in Langley last year. The suspects, identified as 35-year-old Jared Douglas Polischuk and 29-year-old Luis Manuel Baez, were apprehended on Friday and are facing a joint charge of conspiracy to commit murder.
The charges are linked to a shooting incident in September 2025 where 24-year-old Taran Pandher was assaulted while traveling in a taxi as a passenger. Pandher tragically lost his life at the scene near 200 Street and 53 Avenue. Following the incident, authorities responded to a vehicle fire in Surrey later that evening, which they believe was connected to the shooting.
Law enforcement officials are actively pursuing leads in the investigation, suspecting the involvement of additional individuals in the targeted attack, which is believed to be part of British Columbia’s ongoing gang conflict.
Due to the matter being sub judice, no further details are being disclosed by the authorities at this time.
