War and romance movie fans are being urged to watch the 2019 film “A Hidden Life,” which showcases the final performances of Michael Nyqvist and Bruno Ganz.
The movie tells the true story of an Austrian farmer and devout Catholic who refused to join the Nazi forces during World War II.
Upon its initial release, the film received critical acclaim and won two awards at the Cannes Film Festival.
“A Hidden Life,” now accessible on Disney Plus, depicts the life of Franz Jägerstätter (played by August Diehl), a conscientious objector during the war who was executed for his refusal to fight for Nazi Germany.
With an 82% score on Rotten Tomatoes, fans have praised it as “remarkable,” according to the Express.
