“Hero Dog Walker Stabbed to Death in Uxbridge Tragedy”

A dog walker hailed as a hero in Uxbridge was tragically killed in a stabbing incident, with his employer praising his dedication. Wayne Broadhurst, a 49-year-old council worker, lost his life on Monday evening, with two others also injured, including a 14-year-old boy.

The managing director of Greener Ealing Ltd, a company that offers environmental services to Ealing Council, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Mr. Broadhurst. Katarina Pohancenikova described him as a valued member of their team who contributed significantly to their work and the community they serve. The company shared a photo of Mr. Broadhurst wearing a Liverpool FC hat and their high-visibility gear.

Safi Dawood, a 22-year-old Afghan national who arrived in the UK in a lorry in 2020, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with the stabbing incident. The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed the charges and stated that Dawood will appear in court soon.

Jaswant Narwal, Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London North, stated that following the tragic incident in Uxbridge, Safi Dawood has been charged with the murder of Wayne Broadhurst and the attempted murder of two others. The CPS collaborated closely with the Metropolitan Police during their investigation to bring justice in this case.
