Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who claim she engaged in fraudulent activities by neglecting her responsibilities to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors put in approximately $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 with the aim of aiding users in enhancing their mental well-being.
According to the lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware, the investors were assured that Gomez, a prominent figure on social media with over 500 million followers, would actively participate in the business as the head of marketing. However, the plaintiffs allege that Gomez and other executives failed to fulfill their commitments, such as the creation of a mobile application.
The lawsuit alleges that Gomez signed a contract committing to her duties but failed to follow through with them. The investors claim that the company did not have a viable business plan and did not meet essential obligations like timely payments to employees and vendors.
A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comments on the matter. The investors claim they were unaware of the company’s challenges until a news report surfaced online in September 2025. They are now seeking to recover their investments along with legal expenses.
