“Popular Fashion Retailer Quiz Enters Administration, 109 Jobs Lost”

Must read

Quiz, a well-known fashion retailer, has gone into administration, resulting in the loss of 109 jobs. The redundancies are affecting the company’s head office in Glasgow and warehouse in Lanarkshire. The Quiz website has been shut down, and customers are being informed that unshipped online orders will be canceled.

Customers are advised that Quiz is not processing refunds. Instead, they are directed to contact their bank or credit card provider for reimbursement. For orders above £100 paid with a credit card, consumers may be eligible for a refund under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. If payment was made via debit card or for items under £100 with a credit card within the last 120 days, customers could potentially utilize Chargeback.

Alternatively, Quiz suggests that customers can exchange unwanted items in-store for products of equivalent value. The company has ceased online operations and is no longer accepting new orders. Furthermore, store visitors are informed that gift cards will not be honored.

Quiz has a total of 40 stores across the UK, along with concessions in New Look and Matalan stores. Although Quiz concessions in New Look and Matalan are unaffected by the administration, the seven concessions in the Republic of Ireland are included. The brand, established in 1993 in Glasgow, Scotland, by entrepreneur Tarak Ramzan, employs a total of 565 individuals.

This is the second time Quiz has faced administration in a year, having previously collapsed in February 2025 before being acquired through a pre-pack deal. Alistair McAlinden and Geoff Jacobs from Interpath have been appointed as joint administrators and are committed to maintaining operations while exploring options for the business.

Mr. McAlinden stated that they intend to continue trading stores and concessions in Ireland while assessing the future of the company. Interested parties looking to acquire Quiz’s assets are urged to contact the administrators promptly. Efforts are being made to support affected employees through this challenging period.
