“Teen Daughter Saves Mother from Vicious Stabbing”

Must read

A mother recounted how her 13-year-old daughter saved her life by intervening when her boyfriend viciously stabbed her multiple times with two knives.

Selina Fox shared the harrowing incident where her partner attacked her with knives after she discovered him in a compromising situation with another man upon returning home from work. The courageous actions of her young daughter played a crucial role in preventing a tragedy during the assault.

According to Selina, the confrontation escalated when her boyfriend pursued her to the kitchen, brandishing a knife and threatening her. Despite her attempts to defuse the situation by suggesting she was going to her room with her son, the violent attack unfolded shortly after.

Speaking to ITV News Anglia, Selina described how her partner burst into her room armed with two knives, stabbing her in front of her young son in November 2024. Her son pleaded with the attacker to stop the assault.

During the ordeal, Selina’s daughter, then 13 years old, heard the commotion and acted swiftly, calling the police from her room, potentially saving her mother’s life.

Despite facing threats from the assailant, the daughter insisted on contacting the police. However, the attacker confiscated their phones and confined Selina and her children inside their residence. Undeterred, the daughter managed to escape through a window, seeking assistance while her mother was in critical condition.

Following the attack, Selina underwent extensive surgery for injuries to her lungs, chest, abdomen, and a broken rib. She credited her daughter’s quick thinking for her survival, acknowledging, “If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t be alive today.”

The perpetrator, Ryan Leggett, was convicted of attempted murder and received a 27-year prison sentence at Ipswich Crown Court. He was also prohibited from contacting Selina and her children, who were deeply affected by the traumatic incident.

Reflecting on the relationship, Selina disclosed that Leggett had never displayed violence during their four-year partnership before the vicious attack. She expressed disbelief at his actions, stating, “Now it feels like our entire relationship was a sham.”

Detective Constable Sophie Moore, involved in the case, commended the victim for her cooperation in securing Leggett’s conviction. Moore highlighted the extreme violence of the attack and Leggett’s lack of remorse, emphasizing the victim’s courage throughout the legal proceedings.
