“Mexican Drug Cartel Forces Recruits into Cannibalism”

Must read

A brutal drug cartel is compelling fresh recruits to engage in cannibalism and carry out decapitations in its notorious training centers. The Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) has rapidly extended its presence throughout Mexico, predominantly operating in the western regions. Members of the CJNG regularly commit heinous acts of violence to instill fear in their adversaries. Notorious for downing an army helicopter using a rocket-propelled grenade, eliminating hundreds of government officials, and publicly displaying the bodies of victims on bridges to intimidate rivals, the CJNG conducts training camps in secluded rural areas where recruits are instructed in combat tactics and firearm usage.

During a three to four-month period, recruits are also indoctrinated into cannibalism. An unnamed recruit disclosed that new members are initiated by severing the fingers and toes of victims, a favored torture method of the cartel. Recruits are then coerced to consume a portion of the severed body parts without displaying any repulsion, under the threat of punishment.

After proving their allegiance, members progress to learning how to dismember entire bodies. Francisco, an individual deceived into joining a CJNG camp under false pretenses, recounted being compelled to amputate a man’s hand and consume part of the corpse. Another survivor shared an account where the most timid recruit in their class was ordered to behead a rival and crush his skull with a stone. In a gruesome incident, an instructor forced a recruit who vomited part of a body to consume it.

In a shocking incident last year, CJNG members were captured on video extracting the hearts of rival gang members and consuming them, ridiculing their deceased enemies. These barbaric practices not only desensitize new recruits but also serve to instill terror in local communities and strengthen the cartel’s control over the drug trade.

Amid the pandemic, three individuals, including a pregnant woman, were found in critical condition with severed hands after being accused of theft by the CJNG. Their mutilated bodies were discovered in a truck in Guanajuato, with a message warning against thievery. The cartel resorts to dissolving bodies in acid baths to eliminate evidence, as evidenced by a case where a Mexican rapper confessed to disposing of three missing film students on behalf of the CJNG.
