In addition to berries, Nguyen applies the same preservation steps to herbs, spring onions, and lettuce. She advises against refrigerating citrus fruits like lemons, limes, and oranges, recommending storing them in a fruit bowl separately from gas-releasing fruits like apples and bananas, as the latter can accelerate ripening and spoilage.

According to Nguyen, certain produce items like tomatoes, onions, potatoes, and root vegetables should not be kept in the fridge to maintain their quality. As for avocados, she suggests refrigerating them only when ripe to prevent overripening.
