The Gold Cup and Saucer race, boasting a $100,000 purse, annually attracts participants from various regions in North America to the Red Shores Racetrack and Casino.
Having grown up watching the race, Jamieson reminisced about his favorite win by his father in 2006 before surpassing it with his own triumph with Fifth and Five. He emphasized the significance of this victory, labeling it as his most cherished racing accomplishment.
During the race, Jamieson maintained a strategic approach, closely trailing the horse and driver in the first post position. Despite the tight competition, Fifth and Five clinched the victory with a finishing time of 1:49.4.
