Canada’s head coach, Cindy Tye, has announced the squad that will compete in the upcoming under-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland next month. The roster consists of 21 players, including three goalkeepers, five defenders, eight midfielders, and five forwards. The tournament will take place from September 5 to 27.
In addition to the main squad, six alternates will accompany the team to Poland to assist in preparations before the start of the World Cup. The team is scheduled to assemble in Lublin, Poland, on August 23, and will then move to their tournament base camp in Bielsko-Biala on August 30. A closed-door match against Spain is set for August 31 as part of their preparations.
Canada, one of the 24 participating nations, is placed in Group B. They will kick off their campaign against England on September 5, followed by a match against Brazil on September 8. The group stage will conclude on September 11 with a game against Tanzania.
The Canadian team secured their spot in the U-20 World Cup after clinching the regional title for the third time at the 2025 CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championship. Coach Tye expressed confidence in the team’s abilities, acknowledging the challenges ahead and urging the players to embrace the competition with confidence.
The full roster includes goalkeepers Noelle Henning, Madison London, and Khadijah Cisse. The defensive lineup features Bridget Mutipula, Iba Oching, Janet Okeke, Stephanie Schoeley, and Chloe Taylor. The midfield is composed of Olivia Chisholm, Jadea Collin, Sienna Gibson, Jeneva Hernandez Gray, Teegan Melenhorst, Ines Nourani, Noelle Sather, and Liana Tarasco. The forward positions will be covered by Sariyah Bailey, Annabelle Chukwu, Kaylee Hunter, Lea Larouche, and Emma Yee. Alternates for the squad include Amy Medley, Victoria Rocci, Taegen Stewart, Emily Wong, Kierra Blundell, and Melisa Kekic.
