RCMP authorities in Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, have apprehended a man following reports from locals about gunfire noises over the weekend. According to an official statement released on Thursday, the RCMP responded to a gunshot report on August 9 at approximately 8:30 a.m. The officers were informed about a man spotted inside a property on 68th Street carrying a firearm. Subsequently, the RCMP officers detained the man later that morning and have charged him with three firearm-related offenses. The charges include recklessly discharging a firearm, improper storage of a loaded firearm, and negligent use of a firearm. The man is scheduled to appear in court on August 17.
